Chilling Out Sunday in Sewing Studio - See What I Accomplished

I made another apron using leftover stash. The daisy fabric was used for a paper pieced block for a Calendar Block Swap. The pattern for the fat quarter apron can be found at  http://www.sewwequilt.com/2011/12/comfort-and-joy-guest-pauline-with-her.html
I added flange to this apron.

The basket was a paper pieced design from Electric Quilt. Anyone wanting a copy of a 12", 10", 8" and 6" foundation pattern can have one simply by choosing to follow me and sending me an email request.

After finishing up the apron I played around with Electric Quilt to design a quilt using the blocks for a Heart Block Swap that I led in the Eons Quilters Passion Group which began the latter part of 2010. The blocks were finished and delivered February 2011. I am just now getting around to making them into a quilt.

I love this heart wrapped in a bow.
The chocolate block wrapped in a bow was the paper pieced block that I made for each of the 18 other participants. I did make a different block for the male participant in the swap which I fell in love with too! How can you go wrong with chocolates and hearts around Valentine's Day?

Last evening I whipped up a couple of the Whirlwind blocks for alternating blocks for the heart quilt. I think this will help to pull all the various different colors and backgrounds together.

  1. Hello Joanie. I'm not the apron type but the style and fabrics in yours is cute. That's such a sweet basket block too. And I love the ribbon wrapped chocolate heart box! That will make such a cute quilt.
